Every Diamond,Documented.
Our diamonds are lab-grown and certified by IGI, an independent gemological laboratory. Our gold is BIS hallmarked. You don’t have to take our word for either — you can check both yourself.
A diamond should come with its own story in writing.
A grading report is an independent description of one specific stone: its size, colour, clarity and cut, how it was grown, and the number laser-inscribed on its edge. It is what lets you compare honestly, and what lets you know, years from now, that the stone in your ring is the one you chose.
Independent
Graded by IGI, not by us. The laboratory has no stake in the sale.
Laser-inscribed
The report number is inscribed on the diamond’s girdle, so the stone and its report stay linked.
Origin stated
The report states that the diamond is laboratory-grown, and records how it was grown.
Verifiable
Anyone can check the report number on IGI’s own website, at any time.
Four measures. One diamond.
Lab-grown diamonds are graded on the same 4Cs as mined diamonds. Here is what each one means, in plain words.
Cut — how the diamond handles light
Cut is about proportion, symmetry and polish: how well the facets are angled to send light back to your eye as brightness and fire. It is the one C made entirely by hand, and the one that most changes how a diamond looks. On IGI reports, round brilliants carry an overall cut grade; every shape is graded for polish and symmetry.
Colour — the absence of colour
White diamonds are graded on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (a light yellow or brown tint). The differences between neighbouring grades are subtle and usually only visible side by side under controlled light. The setting matters too: white gold flatters the top of the scale, yellow gold is kind to warmer stones.
Clarity — the diamond’s inner landscape
Almost every diamond, grown or mined, has tiny internal features (inclusions) or surface marks (blemishes). Clarity grades how many there are, how large, and how visible they are under 10× magnification. From VS upwards, they are generally not visible to the naked eye.
Carat — weight, not size
Carat is a unit of weight: one carat is 0.2 grams, divided into 100 “points” (a 0.50 ct stone is “50 points”). Two diamonds of the same weight can look different in size depending on their cut and proportions, which is why the report also records exact measurements in millimetres.

What every line tells you.
Tap a number on the layout to see what that part of an IGI laboratory-grown diamond report means.
- Report numberThe unique ID of this report. It is also laser-inscribed on the diamond, and it is what you use to verify the report online.
- Shape, cutting style & measurementsFor example “Emerald cut” or “Round brilliant”, with the stone’s exact dimensions in millimetres.
- Grading results — the 4CsCarat weight, colour grade, clarity grade and, for round brilliants, cut grade.
- Polish, symmetry & fluorescenceThe finish of the facets, how evenly they are placed, and how the stone reacts to ultraviolet light.
- InscriptionThe text laser-inscribed on the girdle — for lab-grown stones, typically “LABGROWN IGI” followed by the report number.
- CommentsHow the diamond was grown (CVD or HPHT), whether there is any indication of post-growth treatment, and its diamond type.
- Proportions & securityA diagram of the stone’s proportions, plus security features and a QR code that link the paper to IGI’s online record.
Four steps. About a minute.
Find the number
It is printed on your IGI report, and engraved on the diamond’s girdle.
Open IGI’s website
Go to igi.org and choose Verify Your Report — always on IGI’s own site.
Enter it exactly
Type the report number as printed, then open the online record.
Match every line
Shape, measurements and the 4Cs online should match your paper report exactly.
Something doesn’t match? Tell us straight away - and in the studio we will show you the inscription under the loupe.
BIS hallmarked, with a HUID.
In India, gold jewellery must be hallmarked by the Bureau of Indian Standards before it is sold. Since 1 April 2023, every hallmarked piece carries a six-character alphanumeric HUID — Hallmark Unique Identification — that is unique to that piece.
You can check a HUID with the government’s BIS CARE app.
BIS mark
The Bureau of Indian Standards mark, showing the piece was tested at a recognised assaying centre.
Purity
The caratage and fineness — for example 14K585 or 18K750 — the gold content in parts per thousand.
HUID
A six-character code unique to the piece, linking it to its hallmarking record.
